Henley Town\u00a0Garden<\/h1><\/div>

This Henley customer wanted a change from an already designed garden to something a bit different. The limestone that was there didn\u2019t fare well in the winter months, with leaves making the slabs discoloured and slippery.<\/p>\n

The new design was aimed at making a usable space for the children, but giving the look of something that had been there for many years. Reclaimed Welsh pennant stone was chosen, and as you will see they come up a lovely blue\/grey colour. Reclaimed bricks also gave the aged effect to tie in with the existing brick and flint wall. Many samples were made to get the right colour and consistency for the mortar joints to match the house walls.<\/p>\n

All wall copings were pennant slabs of equal thicknesses cut to the exact widths, with only the natural face of the stone visible. Artificial grass was the low maintenance option, but still looks very realistic. Lighting and irrigation were installed around all the planting. Pleached holm oaks acted as a screen to the neighbours. Basalt chippings worked well for the path, when seen next to the pennant stone.<\/p>\n
